Low Risk

This low risk confined space training course is for anyone working in a low-risk environment, such as meter pits, valve chambers and stairwells, and includes preparing to enter and work safely, entering and exiting confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools, following procedures, and dealing with emergencies. 

This training course covers what you need to know to work safely in low risk confined spaces including how to enter and work safely, how to recognise an emergency has occurred and then how to deal with it. It also includes updated National Occupational Standards and Water UK National Classifications (NC’s).

A low risk confined space is one where there is adequate natural or mechanical ventilation, where access appears simple and unobstructed, and where there is no likely risk of flooding. Examples of low risk confined spaces include pub cellars, valve chambers and stairwells. 

Candidates will learn how to:
•    Prepare to work safely in low risk confined spaces.
•    Enter and exit low risk confined spaces safely
•    Use equipment and tools safely
•    Follow working procedures and work safely
•    Deal with emergencies
•    Understand the principles of working in low risk confined spaces
•    Understand standard protocols for working in low risk confined spaces

Medium Risk CS1 - Confined Space Entry with Escape Sets

This course is designed to provide delegates that need to enter Confined Spaces and Hazardous Areas with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the law, associated legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments. 
This course includes competent use of appropriate Confined Space Equipment and practical assessments covering access, egress and safe working practices in Confined Spaces and Hazardous areas.

 

The course includes updated National Occupational Standards and Water UK National Classifications (NC’s)
A medium risk confined space is one where there is a realistic expectation of a specified risk. The course involves working as a team and requires candidates to use environmental monitoring, escape breathing apparatus and access equipment.

Candidates will learn how to:

  • Prepare to work safely in medium risk confined spaces

  • Enter and exit a confined space safely

  • Use equipment and tools safely

  • Follow working procedures and work safely

  • Deal with emergencies

  • Understand the principles of working in medium risk confined spaces

  • Understand entry controller duties and responsibilities 

  • Understand standard protocols for working in medium risk confined spaces
     

High Risk CS2 - Confined Spaces with Full Breathing Apparatus

This high risk confined space training course is designed for those who enter and work in high risk confined spaces. 
On this course, delegates will learn how to prepare to work safely, enter and exit high risk confined spaces safely, use equipment and tools safely, follow procedures and deal with emergencies. 

The course includes updated National Occupational Standards and Water UK National Classifications (NC’s).
