CONFINED SPACES
We provide a wide range of in house and City & Guilds approved confined space training courses, all suitable for many industries.
Our courses are highly practical – and are taught in highly developed facilities which replicate what a person may encounter when working in real confined spaces such as tunnels, pits, sewers or tanks.
In these facilities our trainers can simulate what it’s like to enter, exit and work in spaces which are considered confined space. Additionally, we train how to escape and if necessary, carry out a rescue in a safe manner.
A confined space is an area that is both enclosed or largely enclosed and has a reasonably foreseeable specified risk to workers of:

Injury/death due to SMOKE, fire OR explosion

Loss of consciousness/asphyxiation due to gases and/or lack of Oxygen
-
Asphyxiation or entrapment by a free flowing solid
-
Drowning
-
Loss of consciousness due to becoming too hot.

Gravitas can also attend site to deliver this training, utilising a mobile training vehicle purpose built for the job.
